Tom at the ICF World cup, Poznan, Poland

Sprint
Tom 2019 world cup
Well done Tom! Selected to go to the world cup in Poznan, Tom competed well in the heats & semifinals & was selected for the 1000m and 500m B finals. But the 2 finals were only 20 minutes apart. So after achieving a great second place in the 500m B final, Tom had hardly any time to recover before he was back on the water for another final. Well done on your 7th place in the 1000m final, Tom. That must have been harder than any of your canal training sessions!

Team Solihull at the Anker Valley Hasler marathon 2019

Marathon
2019 Anker Hasler
A small, brave team of Solihull paddlers braved the difficult, choppy canal at the Anker Valley Hasler. The younger Lefflers did us proud though, coming 1st & second in their races. The rest of us are working on a cunning plan of lulling the opposition into a false sense of security by achieving average results in the middle of our divisions before peaking later in the year and amazing the opposition with some amazing results!!

Team Solihull at the Worcester Hasler marathon 2019

Marathon
2019 Worcester Hasler

Well done Pete for getting a big team on the water for the 2019 Worcester Hasler marathon races. And well done to the Lefflers who accounted for 4 of our 15 racers and our top results on the day. Congratulations to Adam & Amelie who won silver medals in the under 12 & under 10 K1's. Unfortunately there weren't many more outstanding achievements but if there was a medal for enthusiasm, we'd have won it. Ian, Phil, Simon, Alan, Claire, Pete & Anne, your shouts of encouragement on the second lap were greatly appreciated!
