2019 Hasler marathon finals in Southampton

2019 Hasler Finals
Team Solihull were invited to compete in the Hasler finals yet again as one of the top Midlands clubs in 2019. And despite a much smaller team than many we came 3rd! The wind conditions were incredible - kudos to Mark, Conrad and Melissa for staying in their boats in 40mph wind and water that resembled the ocean! And well done to Tom Lusty for his 4th place in Division 1 despite having spent the last year training in the GB squad for 1000m sprint races, not 18000m marathon races!

Tom on top again at the Open Sprint Regatta September 2019

Open regatta
GB paddler Tom Lusty won a fist full of medals at the Open Regatta at Holme Pierrpoint on the weekend. He claimed both the K1 500 &1000m gold medals and finished second in the men’s open K1 200m final. He was also in the K4 that won the 1000m gold and finished 3rd in the K2 500m with clubmate Nacho. Well done team!

2019 Shropshire Paddlesport Hasler

2019 Shropshire
We were few but were we were strong! There were only 8 of us racing at Shropshire but we collected plenty of points. Well done Arnie on your promotion & your best result yet, 4th in Division 9 K1. The Div 4 k1 race was split by a narrow boat blocking the canal for a couple of minutes causing a robust exchange of opinions but Mark still managed to get 3rd. The Lefflers triumphed again with Peter getting second in Div 7 K1, Amelie coming first in her U10 girls race, & Adam & Monty winning Div 9 K2! The Elliots won Div6 K2 & Conrad was promoted too. Well done everyone & thanks Paddlesport for a good race.
